In March 2017, NACDD, AUCD, and NDRN launched a social media campaign for Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month. This year's theme was "Life Side by Side," where we highlighted ways in which people with and without developmental disabilities come together to form strong, diverse communities, living side by side. The campaign also raised awareness about the barriers that people with disabilities still sometimes face in connecting to the communities in which they live.
